For my Book of Mormon class, we have to do a 3 week paper where, for 3 different weeks, we apply a scripture to our lives. I was really impressed by 1 Ne 5: 21-22. It says
"And we had obtained the records which the Lord had commanded us, and searched them and found that they were desirable; yea, even of great worth unto us...Wherefore, it was wisdom in the Lord that we should carry them with us, as we journeyed in the wilderness, towards the land of promise."
I decided to start a blog! I think it's a good way to keep in contact with people and a great way to save and share memories. Other than that, I don't really understand my motivations behind this blog. But I really liked this background when I saw it and I guess it compelled me even further to dive into the realm of "internet journaling."
I'm excited though - now I can compile my thoughts and experiences down with a playlist. Two great things put into one!
I named this blog what it is because I feel it fits the time of life I am in right now. (Plus I heard it in a song and I liked it). So now, to get all poetic and stuff and to tie my title in with my post...
These are the days.
The days when I learn to grow up.
The days when I figure out how to buy groceries.
The days when my parents don't hold my hand anymore and I have to figure things out for myself - like how to wake up on time.
And cook.
And find all my classes.
When I wake myself up because I'm "responsible."
These are the days when I get to make new friends and go to a singles ward.
These are the days when I go to Relief Society, but it's not really that bad because everyone is the same age. The days when I learn from other people and hopefully teach others around me.
The days when I can get a real calling!
These are the days when I learn what living is and how to make someone else's burden lighter.
The days when I "enter to learn, and go forth to serve."
The days when I find out that, even though I am a single person in this world, I can make a difference. And maybe have some fun along the way :)
God did not give us the spirit of fear, but of faith!
I am going to make this college experience the best one ever and hopefully not only change me, but find someone to change as well.
Keep lookin at my blog for new updates! :)
